My Students
Our students are the minds of the future. Furthermore, they come to us from many different backgrounds and needs. Our school is a Title I school with many children who receive a backpack of food for their weekend needs. They come to school eager to learn and are ready for any new challenge.
Our students are full of life and ready for a challenge.
Some students come from families that prepare them for college ready academics and some students need extra support to get them prepared and excited about future opportunities. Regardless of their families and backgrounds, I love the daily challenge to motivate and inspire them to be the achieve their absolute best!
My Project
The materials and supplies that I'm requesting for my students will improve our guided math groups. We have a basket in the middle of each table, however, all their materials are crammed into a small basket. These LARGE PLASTIC UTILITY TOTES will be essential in organizing our reading and math groups. Student will take ownership of their learning through having enough room to organize their hands on reading and math materials.
Students are so excited to begin guided math groups each day, organization is crucial in assisting them in success towards their goals.
Additionally, the Versatiles math program was such a hit last year, we would like an updated copy of the new activities. Versatiles allow the students to work cooperatively with a friend and self check. This encourages leadership as they practice math skills independently.
