Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

21st Century skills are great, but we can't forget about the old ways to learn. Students practice literacy skills using online platforms and although they are engaging, students need to experience reading actual books. I found these books to be very age appropriate and align very well with the literacy skills kindergarten students need to achieve before entering first grade.

These books are kid friendly and have topics students can relate to.

I included nonfiction texts for students to read. These little readers have sight words and short vowel words that students need practice with. I have so many plans for these little readers.
