My Students

Students who enter my classroom are bright, young individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds. My school has a very high free lunch ratio. Many students in my school struggle to bring a pencil or paper to class. My school has a garden that students have the chance to work in.

I believe every student can be successful.

In my classroom, students are taught to work hard every day no matter what they are facing in life. I believe that every student is able to overcome and triumph. Many of my students rise to my expectations through their behavior and classwork.

My Project

Many of my students struggle to sit still during class. The stand-up desk would allow students to stand up and move while learning. This would allow students a designated spot to work in the classroom. The stand-up desk would be used by students as needed during any given day.

The wiggles should not impact student learning.

Students will be able to move around the classroom as needed with the desk. The desk can also be easily moved to a different location in the classroom to be used for stations or by another student. The teacher will also be able to use it as a podium when needed or to move materials from the classroom to the computer lab.
