My students need to continue to expand their mathematical thinking over the summer! This service is a great tool in which students can
build, review, and extend mathematical concepts.
My third graders are inquisitive, motivated, and full of joy. My students have shown a great interest in mathematics and enjoy interacting with mathematical concepts in various ways such as independently, math groups, and whole class groups as well. They have a great desire to learn and deserve an opportunity to continue their interest over the summer. A math tutoring program will support the high demands of 4th grade. Due to the diverse math needs in my classroom, it is extremely challenging to provide students with support and keep their momentum; however, with one-on-one support, they will benefit greatly!
My Project
My third graders have explored many new math concepts this school year (such as fractions, division, multiplication, and area) to name a few. Though the school year will be coming to an end, it is imperative that my students continue to extend their mathematical thinking. What greater way to accomplish such a goal than providing one on one math support?
A math online tutoring program would address the needs of students who need to build their mathematical confidence, review and master mathematical concepts, and spark those who are proficient and extend their mathematical awareness to higher levels.
