This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first grade teacher, one of the challenges is helping the kids learn to write letters using the correct formation. Students who learn how to form letters in the correct way recognize letters more quickly and decode and spell words more precisely and fluently.

What I am looking for with this project is to be able to achieve this in a practical and dynamic way.

I want my students to feel more motivated and committed to writing the letters in the correct way. Using white boards with lines helps a lot since, during an activity sitting on the carpet studying the fundamental skills, they can practice these skills on their white boards with lines and then be able to do it in their notebooks with the same lines. This will ensure that the children write the letters correctly.
