My Project
My classroom is a diverse group of students that come from so many language backgrounds. Because of this there is a very important need for students to be able to identify the sounds in words to become better readers. The HD Word Kits allow student to use manipulatives to identify the words and sounds in words. These kits will be used during explicit phonics instruction to allow students to work with sounds and words. By using these kits students whose first language is not English can work with the sounds and manipulate them in a way that will solidify the skills being taught.
