I teach third grade at Daniels Canyon Elementary School, a Title I school in Wasatch County. This year I will be teaching Dual Immersion with a Spanish speaking partner. We will have two classes totaling 54 students or more. Because of this we will have a very high classroom population of ELL students. Being that our school is a Title I school we have a high number of free and reduced lunch students, many of our students live in very low to poverty level homes. It is important to me to give my students a chance to make the most out of their future, and give them the tools they will need to do that.
