My Project

This project will supply my students with a class set of Front Desk by Kelly Yang. This novel explores themes like immigration, racism, and poverty. This novel will be used as a novel study by both fourth and fifth grade classes. In addition, this project supplies a set of Maya and the Robot for our Battle of the Books team. This book will be a shared read and discussed weekly in our Book Club meetings.

Our mission at our school is to not only develop proficient readers, but also readers who love to read.

This project will also supply reading incentives like slap bracelets, bookmarks, and candy. These incentives will be used in the classroom for Accelerated Reader rewards. We want to make reading fun again through shared reading experiences and fun treats.
