This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are on an artistic journey into learning about different mediums used in art. I want my students to have different art materials that will aid them to bring their imagination in their artwork alive. Drawing with ink is an amazing, creative and liberating experience.
My aim is to encourage students to draw with ink, because it will teach them to learn to embrace their mistakes and make them understand that mistakes are part of their artistic journey.
The only way to handle marks that should not be there is to make them part of your masterpiece. Ink drawings will help build that confidence my students need in their art. It will help them find the style of art medium they prefer, as well as allowing them to experiment with ink because the marks are permanent, which allows them to expand on their drawing idea. My goal is to enrich their love for art while teaching them to learn to embrace their mistakes as part of being an artist.
