Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our school is a new school that has just opened this school year. They serve a community of students with a variety of needs.

My kindergarten and 1st grade music students are in a brand new school and have never had the opportunity to take music classes.

Drums will enable them to keep learning how to read and play rhythms and boomwackers will add melodies to the equation and allow them to compose! My students already love music with rhythm sticks and shakers but this will enhance their learning so much!

Our school is new and growing please help!!
