This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are exceptionally hard workers. Many of them come from backgrounds in which they have to work part-time jobs, take care of their families, as well as manage their academics and extra-curricular activities.

My students continue to change my life daily.

Many people often think a classroom is centered around a teacher teaching students, but the truth is, I learn more about hard work, dedication, and persistence every day I am around them. Please continue to support my amazing and dedicated musicians in whatever we may need!

My Project

Music education makes a significant impact on a student's life! Aside from learning how to play music, students are often given skill sets that contribute to future successes! These can include but are not limited to, leadership skills, learning how to work as part of a team successfully, as well as learning how to take initiative and instilling a personal sense of discipline.

We need these instruments to give these opportunities to even more students.

This year, we have plans to more than double our numbers in our strings program and we need an instrument in every student's hands. With a 1:1 ratio, we will be able to continue learning in the music classroom (distanced or otherwise).
