Help me give my students a computer to continue to edit and to assist with the goals of our humanities film project.

All of my students are from poor homes as defined by our Title I school status (100% free lunch.) They are an eager group of multi-talented students who participate in one or more of my after school clubs (Drama, Dance, Yearbook or/and Speech and Debate). In addition my students have taken on multiple products producing news and programming for the public. These awesome, selfless, talented, smart students find many opportunities to perform during school and in the community and at various competitions. They have several projects coming up including a school musical. The demographics of the school is incidentally approximately 95% African American. The students are mostly from single-parent households. My students (9th - 12th grade) are bright, energetic, talented and resourceful. Their biggest challenges are resources and funding. Otherwise even the sky is not the limit.
These students may be "poor" but not "poor" in talent, spirit and a willingness to impact others in a positive way, even though they may not have the resources.
We hope you will support our efforts.
Theater and Media can be entertaining as well as educational. They both are powerful educational tools that can be used for multiple purposes: to educate, to entertain and to inform the public. Students will use computers to create media for arts and humanities awareness projects.
Too often students recount the main reason they are failing a class or uninterested in a class is boredom.Students who know they are going to use the skill they are learning become motivated to learn.
So hands on experiences in theater and media where a student is learning by doing makes learning fun and effective. For the general public who will enjoy performances on stage, through students produced special videos and PSA’s (that are directed to enlighten and educate) Media and Theatre is educational and entertaining. We plan to use all of these strategies to produce programming primary to highlight civics, art and history as a way to enlighten the students and public. The students will organize the projects by selecting the topics to address and the medium to use (newspaper, television, social media or a live production). They will highlight the arts and humanities, especially civic and character education. Although statistics say many things about our students, with your assistance we can assist in defying the odds. All students should be able to choose a field they would like to work in and educators should assist them in preparing for college and life beyond college in their chose profession. We can make a difference, as I believe I have done with help in the past. The dream of becoming a actor, an anchor or person working in the entertainment field is possible with the proper guidance and preparation. While doing so, we can also enlighten our community in an entertaining manner.
