Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from the biggest city in New Mexico. Albuquerque is a fun place to live. We are very high in unemployment, so sadly a lot of families are struggling here. I work at a public charter school called MAS. Most students that come to this school are first-generation graduates. We are a very diverse school and we strongly believe in equal education for all. The students here work super hard with a school day that starts at 8:20 am and ends at 4:00 pm.

The students here work super hard and start planning for their futures since kindergarten.

Some struggle because they need more hands-on and fun activities! We work hard for student engagement and work hard to make it relatable to them. Every student and family here wants to be successful and we work extra hard to help them.

My Project

All items will stay in the classroom! The goal is to have fun with the students while still making them work. I love to reward students for hard work but also for trying their best. I do what I can to keep learning fun and light.

The games are to have fun and get them excited and engaged in math.

The prize Items are to reward winners but also reward those who are trying. Math is all about mistakes so I love to take the time and embrace all work and all efforts!
