This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are active 4 years olds who come from a culturally diverse neighborhood. Our school has children that come from many different countries and cultural backgrounds some of whom are learning English for the very first time. They are active learners who love to play with each other and explore the many different Learning Centers in our classroom.
My Project
Our classroom Science Center is a favorite place for my class. Unfortunately, we are in need of more hands-on science materials such as Magna tiles. We have a very small set and would love more to add to the center.
Magnets, imagination and hands-on learning all go together.
The children love to experiment with magnets and build with blocks. Why not combine the two? Magna tiles are a great way to let my students build and learn and explore the use of magnets in their everyday life.
