This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my kids come from low income neighborhoods and are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I want them to have a safe space in the classroom where creativity and meaningful learning experiences can happen.

Access to classroom materials like notebooks and pencils ensures that all students start on an equal footing, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.

When teachers provide these essential supplies, it removes barriers to learning and allows students to focus on their studies without worrying about the lack of resources. This accessibility promotes a positive classroom atmosphere where students feel supported and valued. Consequently, it enhances students' readiness and ability to achieve academically, contributing to their overall educational success.

Additionally, I wish to advance their mathematical understanding through the use of manipluatives. Using math manipulatives, such as Geoboards, is crucial for helping students understand abstract mathematical concepts through hands-on learning. This tool will make learning more interactive and engaging, which will enhance students' comprehension and retention of math principles. Manipulatives cater to diverse learning styles, allowing visual and tactile learners to grasp mathematical ideas more effectively.

Lastly the laminator will used to create informational posters along wadding life in a classroom serve as constant visual reminders of key concepts, reinforcing learning throughout the day. They create an engaging and stimulating environment that can help students retain information more effectively.
