Our students are hands on learners and learn best when they can model their work. They enjoy working with partners and with teams. They learn best when they can move around and discuss what they are working on. They like to ask other partner groups questions about their work and to show others their work.
My kinesthetic learners work best in small group during math time.
They get personalized instruction with me and work independently at the other stations. I love when they are fully engaged in the learning process and watching them grow as learners.
My Project
The hands on math games and center activities will be used in small groups throughout the year. The materials I chose focus on areas that I have noticed my kiddos struggling in. These items will help make practice fun and engaging.
Children learn in many ways.
The items I am hoping to get will help my tactile learners. After the lessons have been taught the students carry out physical activities, rather than listening to a lecture.
The hands on activities and large 120 mat will help our classroom be a place where all student's needs are met and where learning is fun!
