This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My paraprofessional and I spend a lot of money on supplies as we are only allotted $200 per school year. By the time all of the consumables are ordered, pencils, paper, and glue sticks to name a few, there isn't enough for any special items with which the students really enjoy, like therapy and a Scholastic Subscription. My class is an in-class support classroom with IEP students as well as general education students. Through my many years of experience, I have realized that bright colorful phonics resources allow for students to learn hands-on and retain what is being taught.
