This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is full of energetic, excited students who love learning about our founding fathers and the founding of our wonderful country throughout history
A handful of my students struggle with learning disabilities which causes issues with them wanted to be active participants in the class.
My students need various literacy tools on varying levels to encourage learning with a positive attitude and the confidence to participate with their peers.
With providing United States history literacy books on differing levels, my students with have the start they need to become leaders in our country.
My Project
Children today are bombarded with many things regarding social media and gaming. When asking a child who the President of the United States is or who our first President was, they have a look unknown. Due to this, children are missing out on the great heritage we have here in our country and the struggles our founding fathers went through to gain our freedoms.
Making history a priority in civic education will produce future leaders in our country who will strive to hold on to our values and freedoms.
Primary sources and literature on every child's reading level encourage a positive attitude towards reading and learning. By integrating social studies into language arts, children are both learning the love of reading and the importance of our wonderful nation.
