Help me give my students access to virtual materials that are differentiated, culturally diverse, easy to navigate and value their social emotional learning with Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards.
Can you imagine trying to complete your "classroom" assignments online AND you're only 9 years old?! We are asking a lot of our students, and families, during virtual learning and I believe that students can lean in and meet our outcomes. My name is Christine Shanks and I teach in a Title I school in Gresham, Oregon and I can't imagine doing anything else! This year, I have 28 fantastic 4th graders who are adjusting to online learning with diverse needs, over 25% of my students are Sped and almost 20% are ELL. I think all students need structure, procedures, and a Google Classroom that is accessible and easy to navigate. Teachers Pay Teachers plays an invaluable role with building a successful platform for students. Teachers Pay Teachers is a place where teachers have created amazing lessons that include reading, writing and math woven with diversity, differentiation and social emotional learning. During Distance Learning, I am working over 12 hour days so I can teach and provide asynchronous lessons that are easy for students to follow. Unfortunately, there is little time left to create Google slides, Google forms, and embed relevant videos. Thankfully, there are resources to support students/teachers!

Distance Learning is not meant to be stressful, it is meant to be successful for students.
Distance Learning, as a 4th grader, can be a struggle, especially when families are being pulled in several directions. This is how Teachers Pay Teachers can help. They provide lessons for learning at home that are easy for students to follow, are culturally relevant, differentiated and can help meet students’ social and emotional needs during our new way of teaching/learning through Distance Learning!
