This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our district educates approximately 250 residential and day students in kindergarten through grade 12 who have emotional, behavioral, and learning problems. Most students reside here and live in cottages with an array of different staff members supporting them.

The computer lab is open to students in grades kindergarten through twelve.

Our classroom is designed to attract all ages and has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere of happiness to it when you enter. We try to keep a peaceful environment. Lessons are tailored to each student's ability and most often, one-on-one instruction is necessary.

My Project

It's time to teach and learn something new! We want a cricut machine, vinyl and tools so we can learn how to make custom vinyl decals. We want to learn a new type of paper that people can use to make various projects. Printing on computer paper is great but there are so many other types of paper we can learn and use in life. Especially when we want to teach our students how to open a business, create and make their very own business materials and promote themselves in getting their business name out there. Many of my students don't have plans to go to college so I want to prepare them with knowledge of other entrepreneurial things they can do and earn a living from. They need to life skills to become financially and emotionally stable when they graduate.
