My Project

As the school year winds down I want to celebrate the end of the year with a fun unit for my students.

Using the book "Broken Crayons Still Color", students will upcycle old crayons into new ones in our Maker Space.

Students will be sent to collect all broken crayons that they can find at home or school. They will use silicone molds to upcycle the old, broken crayons into new fun and crazy shapes. Students will see that just because a crayon is no longer pointy, it can still be fun to color with it.
