This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title One school in an urban setting. All of our students receive free and reduced priced lunches year round. Many of our students come from homes that are below the poverty level and each day can be a struggle.

Even though our students may come from little, they have a huge desire to learn and grow.

Our students deserve the opportunity to have a quality education and the tools to do so, just the same as every other student in America.

My Project

In physical education class, we try to teach our students a variety of worldly sports. We teach our students the common sports like football, basketball, and soccer, but we also want to widen their knowledge of sports from around the world.

If we can introduce our students to new and exciting sports like badminton, it could open them to experience great things and take them places they have never been.

Getting badminton rackets and badminton birdies will allow our students to experience a sport they have never tried.

Making fitness fun teaches our students that staying healthy doesn't have to be a struggle. Living a fit and healthy lifestyle allows our students to use their bodies and minds to the fullest ability.
