My Students
My students are enthusiastic and hard-working! They are especially excited with a hands-on activity!! My students are competitive and go the extra mile when given something to "do!" I am working in a Title I school that has had major budget cuts. My students are deserving of access to supplies regardless of the school they attend, or their socioeconomic background. Students are more successful when they are able to be more organized and have adequate supplies. Can't wait to see how they react to this new lab! :)
My Project
Students will love to get their "hands on" these Algae beads!! No better way to learn about Cellular Respiration and Photosynthesis than to watch as these beads react differently to their environment right before their eyes.
The room will literally "light up" as students are learning and understanding the processes as they manipulate these Algae beads!!
Students will interact with the beads and create ways to alter the environment to observe the changes. Both processes are very important for students to have a basic understanding; photosynthesis and cellular respiration are going on around them every day! Can't wait to see their excitement during this hands-on activity!
