My students are energetic children who love to learn! Our school is a high poverty school where some students cannot afford to bring their own materials to school. Despite these challenges, they arrive each and every day ready to learn and with positive attitudes.
Our classroom focuses on a love of learning through reading.
We use reading to tie into other subject areas like math, science, social studies, and writing. Students are actively engaged with activities using various materials and resources.
My Project
This light table will get my students excited about learning! It will be utilized for STEM and Language Arts and Math center time where students can use their imaginations to build, read, and write! Translucent dominoes will be a huge hit when we are learning how to add and subtract partners of 10! Students will use translucent letters to build high frequency words and spelling words that we learn throughout the year. I can't wait to see their imaginations take off and what they will create with the climbers! The builders will let students create robots and cars.
These learning tools are essential to help with my students' fine motor development.
I am excited to see students writing come to life when they are using the light table and color crayons! My students need a project based hands on approach to help them learn and have fun while learning!
