This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having a light table will enable my students to create shapes, figures, and anything else they can possibly think of! In return, these students will be learning many basic and crucial skills at the Pre-K level: shapes, colors, creativity, problem-solving, and socialization while working with others.
My goal for this project is to track progress on how my students build upon the basic skills when using the light table.
This will be important data for their IEP's, progress reports, general education teachers, parents, and administrators.
My students are very special because they are just starting out in life! While they have various disabilities, they are very capable of learning just like any other students! They just process the information differently. In allowing them to explore their environment by using the light table, this will help them grow both academically and socially as well.
