Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are bright, eager and ready to learn! They are students who need as much hands on materials as they can get and coming from a school where resources can be limited, both in and out of the classroom, we are so thankful for anything we can get.
What would you do for your own children?
Would you try to provide the most fun and enhanced learning experiences as possible? Well, that is exactly what we need here in our classroom. We are short on manipulatives, supplies and games to enhance our learning. Every child has a learning style that needs to be reached by every teacher through as many means as possible.
As 3rd, 4th and 5th graders, my students are so excited to take on the challenges of learning and accomplishing all they can. Real life examples can be shared through so many activities and materials and we are hoping we can get just a little bit of help to get us there through DonorsChoose.
My Project
My hope is to provide my students with a fun and engaging environment where they can take their learning to new levels. Using these items for literacy and math stations will help me in meeting each of these students' goals in achieving academic success.
With the help of these ready made activities and games, I can target subject areas that will help my students prepare for state mandated tests and make gains in other areas of school.
My students will be able to do this through interacting with each other in small group settings and also through independent work while enjoying the classroom atmosphere. The use of these activities will help build confidence as well as skill, since these activities are fun and easy to play. Peer to peer interaction also creates a sense of encouragement and community as these students will work on and help each other through these skill builders.
