This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love hands-on learning in my technology class. They are interested and curious about how things work and how programming works for them. Over the last year and a half, learning with devices was severely restricted to follow our district COVID-19 mitigation plan for safer school operations. I either had to show students lots of teacher-created and led video discussions or find virtual resources for students to interact with on their own or school devices.

We did our very best to ensure learning took place, however, it couldn't replace the excitement and thrill of having the robot in your hands and manipulating the sensors yourself to express your creativity.

The resources I am requesting will help my students regain the joy of exploring, building, testing, problem-solving, and sharing what they learn with others in a safer environment than before. We will once again enjoy each other's successes and wonderment with these hands-on robotic kits.
