This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach in a Title I middle school in New York. My students are resilient. Many of them have gone through the hardships of the pandemic as they live in what was the epicenter of the pandemic. Many of my students are homeless. I want to give them the supplies they need to be successful.
I teach my students how to set goals and attain them.
They need the tools to reach their goals. "Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future" is one of my favorite quotes. My students benefit greatly from individualized printed references and scaffolds to put in their notebooks. The paper, markers and pencils in this project will help me be able to print them.
