Let's Learn by Moving Around

Help me give my students a Let's Get Moving! Numbers & Counting Kit that will encourage active movement while learning.

My Students

There are 15 PreK students in my class who represent several different cultures. Three of the students have already been identified as having a special need; however, that does not keep them from interacting with their peers and learning new skills and information.

The students enjoy working with puzzles, manipulatives, small toys, and other games during choice time.

My students are bilingual, which makes it easier for them to talk with classmates who are native English speakers. Students are able to learn new vocabulary when they engage in hands-on learning activities.

My Project

The Numbers and Counting Activity set will allow the students to practice different types of movements that will improve their gross motor skills while learning math concepts. We often take Brain Breaks throughout the day. This set will provide specific activities that we can use during those breaks.

Young children tend to learn best by moving and participating in hands-on activities.

The students will learn how to play golf with the My Size Golf Set. They will learn color recognition and the appropriate way to swing a golf club as they try to hit the different colored balls. The Easy Grip Ball Toss will teach students how to throw a ball and then catch it.

Having my young students move appropriately during learning activities helps them make connections and retain the academic content that I am trying to teach.
