My Project

I am an occupational therapist and I work with my students on many skills, including improving their fine motor skills, visual-motor skills, visual perceptual skills and social skills. These skills are the building blocks for being a successful learner. My students all have a disability, which can limit their ability to succeed. These supplies can make a big difference to my students! During COVID 19, many of my students learned remotely and did not have access to supplies; therefore, are lacking in many of their fine motor skills. Additionally, being home did not allow them to socially interact with their peers.

Children learn best through play so I try to make our therapy sessions fun and exciting by engaging in various hands-on activities.

However, we need the supplies to be able to do this. By donating these LEGO activities, you will enable me to be able to perform various fun and hands-on activities with my students during our occupational therapy sessions. My students will also work collaboratively to complete these LEGO activities, so they can work on their social skills. This is a great environmentally friendly activity to use with my students as we learn about saving the environment because it is reusable and recyclable.
