This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources.
Davis is a community based school. Our families often struggle to find employment and opportunity.
My Project
The manipulatives requested will aide my students in learning how to count in various ways. The students have multiple deficits in math and reading. The alphabets will I think that with a lot of hands on activities the students will help the students learn their letters and sounds. The counting manipulatives will help the students learn how to count and recognize their numbers. They be able to master the skills necessary to improve on state tests. The students come from low income families and communities. They need a lot more resources in order to perform as well as other students on their age groups. With your help I feel that my students will be able to achieve more and been to become productive citizens. Thanks in advance for helping me reach my goals for my students.
