Literacy is a key component in education. I would like to have the Grade K-2 Leveled Reading Library from LeapFrog SchoolHouse. The students will use these Leap Pads in literature centers in the classroom and they will use them at home. In the classroom the students will use the Reading Library to supplement their reading. By using the Reading Library the students' reading abilities should increase. This library will also increase student interest because the Reading Library is fun and interactive. By sending the Reading Library home with the students they will have an opportunity to involve their parents in their education. I will prepare activities for the students to complete with the help of their parent or guardian. Most of the students in my classroom do not have access to outside resources for Reading. By sending these Leap Pads home with them they will be exposed to more literature than ever before. I want each child in my class to have the best of the best. Unfortunately not all students have the advantages of others. I feel that the students will benefit from the use of the Leap Pads both in the classroom and in the comfort of their homes. I am a 2nd grade teacher in an elementary classroom. These Leap Pads will be used by 22 wonderful and enthusiastic students. My hopes are that each child will increase in their reading ability because of the extra exposure to literature. Please consider my request and help us "LEAP" into Reading!
