This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are amazing! They are geared up and ready to learn new and innovative skills and sports, they are self-starters. Our students want to learn and are hands-on in their approach to learning.
Our school is a high needs, low poverty area and even with the obstacles our students face on a daily basis they dress up and show up to learn.
Our students take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way and are grateful for those opportunities.
Bringing new and innovative skills to our students keeps them enthusiastic about Physical Education and life-long exercise to keep them healthy and fit.
My Project
Kickboxing for life is important to the students so they are given the tools to succeed in life-long fitness activities. We are in the process of putting together an awesome kickboxing fitness gym. We are in need of kicking practice pads and gloves for our PE students to use in our well rounded Kickboxing program.
It is important for us to keep our students knowledgeable about lifelong fitness activities that they learn here and are then able to continue those skills outside of school.
Kickboxing for life is the skill our students will use for their life outside of PE class time to stay physically active every day.
