it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What I love about my students is that they come to school every day with a smile on their face and honestly just really happy to be here. School is their escape from the rough home life, where many of them don't know if food and water will be available or if their school uniform will be washed for school the next day. To have that kind of strong will and keep grinding every single day is what makes them so special!
My Project
These materials will help make a difference in my students learning by allowing them to experience something that they have never had before. At our school, we have always had a soccer team but never had any soccer equipment for practice and home games. All of our games currently have to be played at other locations within the district which means they have never experienced home-field advantage. The soccer scoreboard and flags would be used for our boys & girls after school sports program which includes volleyball, basketball, and soccer. This would help student-athletes achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness that would last a lifetime!
