Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Over 85% of my students are English Learners from Hispanic/Latino background. Nearly 80% of my students are from households with at least one adult who does not speak English and/or is functionally illiterate and never attended school. Many of my students are first generation Americans from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. However, ALL of my students and families are committed to contributing to society and achieving the American dream.

My students live in an area with no school sponsored after school sport option.

Ensuring our students are active and engaged in organized activities is essential to living healthy and learning teamwork.

My Project

By donating to our project, you will not only help keep our students active, you will ultimately help to increase community involvement and build on home-school relationships. Our ultimate goal is to provide a safe and fun after-school environment for our students and families.

By donating to our cause we will be able to create an after-school Soccer program for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.

Our students deserve this opportunity to play a sport they love and enjoy. Playing soccer on a team will build confidence and positive relationships among our students across various grade levels and peers. Help our kids become active after-school.
