Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at an elementary school where a majority of students come from low socio-economic backgrounds.
My students have the great capacity to succeed as long as they are given the opportunity, encouragement, and the proper resources.
Despite the adversities they face, they continue to work hard, grow, and develop as lifelong learners. Their passion for learning always shines.
My Project
Currently, my school has a device shortage. They do not have any extra technology available.
We desperately need new iPads since the iPads we have are powering off and not allowing us to download social-emotional learning applications.
I am requesting two iPads and cases that will be utilized to help destress my students' minds and lessen their anxiety. iPads have a wide variety of tools and applications that can help them calm down whenever they are upset.
Please help me provide my students with technology where they can use applications that are soothing and calming.
