My Students
Our students are eager to learn by doing. We use an arts-infused curriculum to encourage self-exploration, build self-confidence, and increase social and emotional development.
I enjoy working with my students, because they are some of centers youngest learners, ages 14 months to 18 months old, and are eager to explore and learn more about the world around them.
75% percent of our students are eligible for free and reduced lunch, and 75% qualify for Head Start, Early Head Start, or state childcare subsidies. 87% of our families are single-parent households. We partner with our students and families to provide a high quality early childhood education and resources to set them up for success.
My Project
The arts are ever present for our little learners at our school. We encourage individuality and support exploration through the arts and inspire students to march to their own beats and do what works for them.
Music gives each little learner an outlet for exploration, creativity, self-expression and FUN!
Adding a variety of musical instruments to my classroom will give my students a creative outlet and freedom to learn through music. At these early age, students are developing rapidly and music is an incredible way for them to grow fine motor skills and develop new cognitive thinking skills in a fun and interactive way. Incorporating music play will also inspire confidence in learning something new and sharing it with our classroom family.
My students love music and continue to raise the bar on what they can do, especially at such an early age. They are ready for the opportunity to become musicians and share the joy of music with each other. Help us make this possibility reality for these highly deserving little learners!
