My classroom is working to develop gross and fine motor, cognitive, and language skills. These infants are taking in all of the sights and sounds around them at a rapid rate. I want to provide them with the resources to aid their development and growth. Adding new hand toys for our infant classroom will promote hand-eye coordination, visual perception, and spatial awareness. It will help infants at all stages in my classroom work together on eye and hand connection that will be used doing everyday things such as holding objects, picking up objects, turning objects etc. They will use these skills the rest of their lives. My goal is to provide a healthy foundation to support them as they continue evolving and learning new things. Our students will also learn how to share with their classmates or teachers and how to play independently. In addition to developing cognitively and physically, these new objects will foster social-emotional skills. Storage space to store these learning tools will also benefit our classroom as we currently don’t have place to house classroom supplies. Support will allow our classroom to have the supplies necessary for our youngest learners to thrive at an important stage in their lives.
