My Students
My students started their journey this past school year as strings ensemble musicians. Now, we would love to take the next step and expand our ensemble to include violas and cellos!
In music class, my students explore singing, playing instruments, and all kinds of music in the world around them.
Many of my students come from struggling backgrounds and music allows them to express themselves creatively as individuals and as a team. My students have started learning how to play on instruments this past year and showed determination in doing so. I would like my students to have the opportunity to expand their own ensemble work through working with other instruments in the same musical setting! An orchestra, after all, needs its viola and cello players!
My Project
Our strings ensemble will become an orchestra with the addition of violas and cellos. Shoulder rests and endpins are essential tools for these instruments, and the cello racks will ensure that the cellos are stored properly and ready for students to play each day!
Playing an instrument with the proper learning materials and being part of an ensemble are unique opportunities that I want my students to have as they continue to grow as musicians.
