This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This May, 7th grade students will be taking the NJSLA test and I need them to be prepared. In preparation, each student will need a headset to be able to use the text to speech feature. All students will be able to use this feature. However, they need a headset for them to hear the words being dictated to them.

Students deserve to have a headset when taking the NJSLA ELA and math assessment so that they can understand the questions and passages and be able to answer them to the best of their ability.

Students struggle with understanding the question when a teacher reads the question for them. Headsets will allow them to use the text to speech feature and be more successful.
