My students are beginning to scratch the surface of the amazing capabilities of our class iPads. The problem? When recording sound, the limitations of the iPad are getting in the way. We need iPad microphones to help us overcome this obstacle.
Our school is a wonderful place filled with bright students.
As with many children, they do not have many opportunities to learn about current events with age appropriate material on their reading level.
Approximately 80% of our students are eligible for free or reduced priced meals. Although they may lack the advantages of peers from more affluent settings, they do not lack for energy and enthusiasm! Our school is a small neighborhood school in an urban setting.
My Project
Our curriculum is filled with opportunities to enhance students' understanding of financial literacy. My students learn about the principles of finance through the Common Core Curriculum. Yet I want to take their learning to the next level. Students in my class can produce short films to document their learning, but our classroom iPads just don't have the range to let students voices be heard. We are simply asking for two microphones (compatible with iPads) so the films can truly be heard. The microphones have an amazing capability.
- Rugged, durable metal housing.
- Dual mini-jack connector allows real-time monitoring on headphones, speakers, mixers, PAs.
- Great for all types of sound recording or processing in music or any other audio application.
My students will use their learning in financial literacy to produce short films documenting their learning. These two microphones will allow my students to make films that have true to life audio.
Demographics should not determine destiny.
Children from urban areas can succeed. We know that financial literacy is the key to that success and these materials will truly unlock the door to understanding for so many students.
