Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students come from a low income environment where much support is needed, especially in this particular area. With these gator balls, students will be able to safely learn how to throw, catch, and roll which will translate to many different activities for them in their physical education curriculum as they get older.
These balls will be acceptable to all students, including students with disabilities or special needs.
I will be able to provide lesson plans for all students equally, helping make an environment of inclusiveness.
Throwing, catching and rolling are essential skills as a baseline for a physical education curriculum, and these gator skin balls are lightweight but also effective in all of these actions.
