This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember never having enough equipment in PE? My students are always wanting to do new exciting things. Keeping students active makes them better learners.

I teach Physical Education in a high poverty inner city public school in Indiana.

Our school has almost 600 students, K-6, who love Physical Education! I see every student twice a week. We rarely go outside to play, and I want to teach the students how to exercise inside. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could then go home and teach their families what they've learned. By doing this, the entire family will be exercising together, and everyone would be in shape! Help me help them with childhood obesity!

My Project

The Simply Storage for Rings and Cones will help us stay organized. It will also make it easy to move them around without dropping them all over the gym. The hoop holders will come in handy with the hula hoops we just got. The 32 pocket storage will keep our heart rate monitors stored safely. They volleyballs and beach balls will be great when we are working on volleying skills. Beach balls are fun to use with the little ones. Lastly, the hand sanitizer will keep everyone healthy with the flu season starting up soon.

Donations to this project will help over 600 students in my school get on the right road to do their part to fight childhood obesity.

With your help we can get our students on the right track to start their own fitness program. Students will benefit from this program for many years to come. Teaching the students the importance of staying in shape is the key to their future. Thank you for considering our project!
