it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach P.E. to elementary students in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. More than 80% of our school's students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch at our Title I school. The majority of our school time and funds are dedicated to academics.
But when it's time for PE, our sixth graders are ready to let loose and play all kinds of active games.
Unlike computer games, P.E. is live-action with hands-on experience as students' feet race to catch, throw, kick, trap, and dribble.
My Project
I've been teaching P.E. for nine years, and I'm so excited for the the coming year. My students love to play all kinds of P.E. games, but I need more sports balls including replacement tetherballs, larger four-square balls, and kick balls so they can play a variety of games. I also need a huge bin to store all the new balls.
Ball skills help students refine their gross motor skills and a variety of ball games will keep students interested and engaged.
I've also included paper to print data pages, foam noodles to replace our existing too floppy noodles, and additional P.E. items to replace broken items. Thanks, Donors Choose, for providing the opportunity to post a project.
