It's hard to beat a person who never gives up.~Babe Ruth. This is exactly what we try to provide for our students. Keep them active by learning and moving to keep a healthy mind and body. Strive to be healthy and be the best that you can be.
Our school is a title one school located in the country surrounded by rolling hills.
The sunsets are breathtaking. We are a very small district that tries to keep sports teams alive. Many of our teams use our weight room to build endurance. After talking with the coaches they have said that slam medicine balls are just one of the items that would be beneficial to have in the weight room for students to use. The students that come out for sports are enthusiastic about the sport and strive to stay physically fit to give their best on the field or courts.
My Project
These requested medicine slam balls would be kept in the weight training room for all sports teams and PE teams to use to build endurance. If you have never had the privilege of using one of these medicine balls you should give it a try. They are a total workout that will build muscle tone and endurance. The students will be able to use them to build core strength, build arm and leg muscles and work with partners or groups to do team strength training. Students can do wall sits, floor slams, over the head wall toss, group planks pushing and passing the ball among the group.
The number of activities that can be performed are amazing and the strength gained is fantastic.
Donations to this project will help improve the endurance and strength of all students through PE classes and athletic sports teams.
Students will have the opportunity to use one more piece of equipment that will help them build muscle tone and endurance.
