Let's Hang! Backpack Hangers!

Help me give my students the tools they need to help them hang up their backpacks in an organized way.

My Project

Aloha! My students have such big hearts. They love to play, share, and help each other. Each morning they show up so excited to be in class. My kindergarten students know the routine independently...hang up backpacks, put homework in the tub, and greet each other.

However, our makeshift backpack hanger is running out of room for all of our backpacks!

Right now I only have enough hooks for 12 students even though I have 22. Currently my students stack their backpacks 2 to a hook, but this makes it hard for them to independently remove their backpacks at the end of the day. They often get stuck behind other backpacks!

With your help, my class would have enough hooks to backpack ratio, wheels to move the backpack hanger around, and binder clips to attach each student's name to their individual hook.

To make room inside the classroom, I move the backpack hanger outside each day. There are no wheels, so it makes it difficult to drag it on the ground since it is too heavy to lift. With your donations, I would be able to attach wheels onto the hanger so it would easily roll.

One goal for my kindergarten students is to become independent. An easy way for me to help them reach this goal is by labeling where they need to put things. With the binder clips, I would be able to attach their names to the hangers so they know where to put their backpack.
