My Students
Students in my classroom are military dependents and residents of a large town in Hawaii. Our school is a Title I school, which means we have a high percentage of students from low-income families. Furthermore, our school has a transient population due to the students with parents in the military.
My students are fun-loving, preschool-aged, special education students.
Students have different disabilities such as autism, speech delays, and developmental delays, but they are eager, bright, and love to learn about everything. I hope to make their first experiences in school fun and engaging.
My Project
My students love books! They like to choose books and pretend to read. They also love being read to in the classroom. I want to refresh my classroom library with these new, fun, colorful books. I selected books of favorite authors and important topics that relate to class activities.
The books you provide will be a mix of fiction and nonfiction books that students will be interested in.
They range from science magazines to stories about holidays, books about transportation, and even books about being friends and loving yourself.
