This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Hi there! I teach 7th grade science and health at a wonderful school in California. I enjoy teaching science to kids, because they are so curious about how their bodies work and about life around them.

I would love to have a lab where my students grow bacteria in a petri dish and then compare different types of antibacterial agents to see which are the most effective.

I need nutrient agar to grow the bacteria and I do not have any. I know this will be a lesson the kids will not only learn from, but will enjoy participating in as well.

By funding this proposal, you will be opening a whole new world to my students, one they sometimes forget is even there! Thank you for your time and for your consideration.
