This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students enjoy learning through hands-on activities. We are an inclusion school that promotes project-based learning and creating a garden is a great avenue for our students to enhance their learning on life science and spark their interest on how to take care of their environment through planting fruits and vegetables.

This project aims to create a school-wide project to beautify our school garden and at the same time, teach kids about the importance of taking care of Mother Nature through planting. Florida is a state where fresh produce are essential to its neighboring states, and our students will learn the essence of gardening and planting through this project.
Our students are special because they are children with unique exceptionalities. They are hard-working kids who come from low-income families who strive towards their education. Our students enjoy going to our garden and learning about different plants, fruits and vegetables. Having a school garden will inspire them to plant and take care of their environment.
