it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students in the after school program takes pride in their abilities, character and discipline gained by participating in the soccer enrichment class. They value learning the different skills required to compete on and off the field, as well as what it takes to keep their bodies and mind in shape for competition by attending practices, exhibiting leadership, and demonstrating the strategies needed when faced with compromised situations during competition. The equipment/supplies requested will allow our students to not only feel like a team, but a family. This is our programs third year participating in the soccer tournament and every year, our students perform to the best of their ability, but has not looked the part of a team due to family not being able to purchase equipment. Your donation will allow our students to bring pride to themselves, the team, and the community when representing their campus and these tournaments. Soccer is an outlet for most of our students here. We would like them to experience the feeling of comaraderie amongst their peers and to represent the southeast side with immense pride. The equipment will be used to allow our students that participate in the after school program to look like a team as they compete against other schools and demonstrate skills learned from the after school program.
